A resource for students seeking a higher education.

First Generation Students may be reluctant to ask for help based on their background and the resources they had in high school. By promoting their visibility on campus and encouraging them to be proud of their stories they can build a community of support within the student population. Using handwritten typography gives each student their own voice. It is a testament of the effort they must put in their studies, grueling, and often imperfect. I designed the branding, posters, and social media.

Each poster reflects the student’s voice, through hand-done type and illustrations, I captured that and the effort each of the students had to make and visually narrated their stories. I interviewed each student, and art directed the photography.
I chose the photography to illustrate how these filters could be used to spread more information about the program. When visiting campus, taking courses, and completing their degree students can feel seen throughout the course of their studies.

These window stickers could be seen all throughout the campus dorms and student parking to further the visibility of first-generation students.
